The following are some Frequently Asked Questions asked by our clients.

What’s the due date for tax return lodgement?

If you lodge your return yourself, the due date is 31 October.  By using a Tax Agent, you may be eligible for extensions up to 15 May, but this depends on your level of income and lodgement history.  If you have not used a Tax Agent for lodgement of your last year’s tax return contact us before 31 October.

Do you do tax returns for individuals as well as businesses?

We do tax returns for everyone and every entity.

Can I just send my paperwork and not come in?

Of course you can! We will get in contact with you if we have any questions or need additional information.

Can I pay my fees by the month?

We prefer to establish a monthly payment plan with you so that our fees are not a burden on cash flow at a time when you can least afford it.  Contact us about the various options available and we will find one that works for you.

What is the cloud?

The cloud is where you put all your data, all your files and even your software so that you can access it all from any computer or device, anywhere, at any time.

Can you help with Add-ons not mentioned on your site?

We use numerous Xero/MYOB Add-ons not listed on our site and have a team ready to get trained up on new solutions to be able to assist our clients. Contact us to discuss your needs and the Add-ons you believe would benefit your business.

What is tax audit insurance?

Tax audit insurance covers the professional fees incurred as a result of an official audit, enquiry, investigation or review instigated by the ATO and other federal, state and territory based agencies.

Does my SMSF need to be audited every year?

Yes – this is a legal requirement of an SMSF. The Annual Return (income tax return) cannot be lodged until the audit has been finalised.
